After doing our due diligence in seeking out mood, tone, and manner attributes of the desired brand elements, we concepted dozens of logos. We landed on a simple block-letter design that did two things; facilitated the ability to use the initials “FMB” in desired applications, and created a canvas to silhouette the famous Fort Myers Beach Fishing Pier.

The Fort Myers Beach Chamber, a long-time friend of Vector & Ink, challenged us to come up with a new brand expression that could be rolled out to a variety of media. Their old look was feeling, well, old.
Web Design & Development
With the newly created logo and brand style guide as our launchpad, we designed a website that delivered an intuitive user experience. The navigation was now obvious, bringing the user to their desired content as little as a single click.
On the front end, we revamped the website to focus on user experience. The goal was to inspire potential members and visitors to utilize the platform to connect with this and everything relating to the Fort Myers Beach. The design also needed to incorporate new advertising opportunities as well as account for current ones. We wanted the website to display all content and imagery in a vibrant fun new way.
The content, especially the imagery, lures website visitors to want to see more, but more importantly, to jump on an airplane and become a visitor for real!
On the back end, we began by reorganizing and restructuring the website’s content to provide a better user experience while keeping mobile front-of-mind. We simplified the navigation, then integrated a third party advertising plugin to more effectively track site visitors.
